Orientation

i've got google maps on my smartphone. i don't get lost. i just go where the little dart points me... 
but my boyfriend has to walk me every time. a) more time together. b) the area he is living is... there is nobody! no people crossing the street, no car going by.... "nobody will hear you scream...."
