One day Zira sat near the borders waiting for Scar when she heard a birds-family speaking with each other. First she didn`t care about their talking but then they said something which made pricked up Zira`s ears.
They were talking about the two newborns of the royal family.
Zira was irritated. Two cubs? Scar never had told her anything about two cubs. As far as she knew he had only one nephew, so who was the other cub of his family? Zira tried to get closer to the birds. They all sat on a high tree and the baby-birds looked interested to the oldest one.
"And how does the female cub look? I never have heard anything of the mother yet." One of the younger birds asked the older one
"Her mother is a princess from the neighbour pride", the old bird said. "and her daughter looks so much like her. A very noble and pretty lioness. No wonder that Ahadi`s second son took her to his mate immediately with any doubts. She is so beautiful and so is her daughter."
"Aaaw" all of the baby-birds called. "We want to see the princesses!" They started to giggle, but under the tree Zira was seething with rage.
